Only $9.00I know, boring legal paperwork.

This template pack gives you two ready-to-use service agreements: one for single jobs, one for recurring work. Fill in your details once. Customise for each job. Get a signature. Done.

Takes 10 minutes. Saves you thousands.

What You Get

This is a ready-to-use service agreement system, not complicated legal documents.

You’ll get:

  • Your Business Info tab – Fill this in once and it auto-populates into both agreement templates. Never type your business details again.
  • One-Time Service Agreement – For single jobs (repairs, installations, one-off work). Covers scope of work, payment terms, warranties, what happens if things go wrong.
  • Ongoing Maintenance Agreement – For recurring work (monthly maintenance, quarterly inspections, annual contracts). Covers frequency, duration, renewal terms, cancellation policy.
  • How It Works tab – Quick reference guide with instructions and tips for using both agreements.
  • Simple blue-cell system so you know exactly what to fill in for each job.

Works in Excel and Google Sheets. Print two copies, sign both, give customer one copy, keep one for your records.

Why This Works (And Why Most Agreements Don’t)

Most trades and service businesses either:

  • Don’t use agreements at all, or
  • Use agreements so complicated nobody reads them

Both approaches fail.

This works because each agreement has clear sections that protect both parties:

  • Scope of Work – Exactly what you’re doing (and what you’re NOT doing)
  • Payment Terms – When you get paid, how much, deposit amounts
  • Warranties – What you guarantee and for how long
  • Exclusions – What’s not included, preventing scope creep

The plumber example from the guide says it all. Mike did a £450 tap replacement. Three months later, the customer calls about a leak. Different pipe. Customer’s brother-in-law tried to fix it. Without the agreement, Mike would’ve either fixed it for free (losing £180) or argued with the customer (losing goodwill and getting bad reviews). With the agreement, he pulls it out, shows what he actually did, everyone understands it’s a separate job.

For ongoing maintenance, the HVAC example is even better. Tom’s doing quarterly maintenance at £300 per quarter. Six months in, property manager says “we need monthly service, you agreed to that.” Tom pulls out the agreement showing quarterly service. No argument, no lost revenue, contract continues.

Who This Is For

This works best if you:

  • Do work where there could be confusion about what’s included
  • Take deposits or have specific payment terms
  • Offer warranties or guarantees
  • Want to protect yourself from scope creep
  • Need clear terms for ongoing maintenance contracts

It works for:

  • Trades (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, builders, roofers)
  • Home services (cleaning, landscaping, maintenance)
  • Service businesses (consultants, coaches, technical services)
  • Anyone who does one-off jobs or recurring maintenance

If you work for customers and want it in writing, this applies to you.

What This Is Not

Just so we’re clear.

This is not:

  • Legal advice (I’m not a solicitor)
  • A replacement for proper legal review if you need it
  • Complicated 20-page contracts
  • Valid for every situation in every industry

It’s a practical template that covers the basics for most small service businesses. If you’ve got complex legal requirements, get proper legal advice.

How Long Does It Take?

  • One-time setup: 5 minutes to fill in “Your Business Info” tab
  • Per job customisation: 10 minutes to fill in job-specific details
  • Getting signature: 3 minutes to explain and sign

If this saves you from one dispute that would’ve cost you £500 in free work or lost time, it’s paid for itself 20 times over.

I’ve seen it prevent a £2,000 loss (customer claiming work wasn’t what they agreed to). I’ve seen it protect £3,200 in annual recurring revenue (customer trying to change service frequency mid-contract). You’ve probably got situations where a clear written agreement would’ve saved you money, time, or stress.
